The service is a dramatic improvement from the last two property management companies our condominium had to deal with. They are competitively priced and by far the most responsive management company our building in Dupomt Circle has ever engaged. The ability to pay my condo fees on line using a credit card is just one of the many added bonuses.
They are prompt to respond to my maintenance requests, and always polite as professional. I would highly recommend this company to anyone looking for a well managed rental in DC!

Lou and Peter worked with us tirelessly over many months to sell my condo, which unfortunately was in a declining neighborhood. They were determined and creative, constantly thinking of new ways to make the property more attractive. When we finally received an offer, they worked with us to make us comfortable with our decision. And when we were hesitant to accept, due to our desire to use the profits to support our charity, Justice for Daniel Coverston, they both generously provided a large portion of their commission to that effort. Lou Costanza and Peter Chan are dedicated, caring professionals who truly care about their clients’ wellbeing.

However, during my time living at a home managed by Sarah Keller and Chatel Real Estate, I found her to be incredibly patient, understanding and lovely. I can’t recommend Chatel enough. We lived in an old house and had a couple of emergencies from time to time, emergencies with the house and with roommates. Sarah and Chatel’s response was prompt and we always knew we were in good hands. We had a good relationship with our landlords, and Sarah was appropriate and congenial when it came to checking up on our temporary home. I hope every lease I join will be this pleasant from now on. But my first experience with Chatel calls for one. You see, I’m one of the owners in the ********* Condominiums , and Chatel took over the management of our building effective June 1. It also happens that after 20 years of living here at the GS, I experienced a “plumbing apocalypse” on the same day. At first, it looked like the issue could wait until Monday, but soon it became obvious that is was a serious problem involving multiple units, and we were risking a serious flood in an upper floor. from the moment I called the office, it was pure professionalism and empathy; the answering service was great. I mostly dealt with Vannara, who was very helpful and kind and kept in regular contact with me, via text and over the phone. Julio, their drain specialist, was sent to the rescue after two other plumbers were not able to fix the issue. Julio was like that mythical cowboy that appears out of the blue to save the day. The first thing he said was, “I’m going to fix this, don’t you worry.” And he did. And when he left, he cleaned up the mess; other than the break in the wall, there was no sign he was ever here when he left. Brian Gilbert, the assistant property manager, kept in regular contact via email and came to my condo early today to personally assess the damage. Chatel inspires confidence from the very first call for help. Great job!
